For many, the thought of getting out of bed in the morning to go to work fills them with a cold dread.
But what about getting up extra early to go to a hot yoga class before work? What’s that like? Wouldn’t you end up shuffling into work like a zombie, desperately pawing for the coffee to try and wake you up?
Well to find out what it’s like, we interviewed of one of our 6am crowd regulars, Lara Menon, to get her opinion:

YF: How do you feel when you get up for the 6AM Class?
Lara: “I usually wake up at 06:10, jump out of bed and brush my teeth, get dressed and jog down to class. I’m sleepy and a bit cold.
But as soon as I walk in the door, Sinead or Ed have such a warm smile and cheerful greeting, I immediately relax and start getting into the peaceful mindset needed for the class.
The warm room invigorates me (needed when I’m still sleepy) and the quiet music along with the calm voice of the instructor help focus on the yoga session.
The best moment is when I get up after the final pose and feel so settled and clear of mind – it is a feeling I carry with me throughout the day!

YF: How does the early classes set you up for the rest of the day?
Lara: “When I know I have a busy or long day, I love knowing I start it this way, with a great yoga session early in the morning.”
YF: Do you have any tips for anyone looking to do early morning classes?
Lara: “If people are thinking about taking an early morning class, I would encourage them to go and try it out – especially if you aren’t a morning person. I’m a natural night owl and I find that having the early morning class helps ground me for the rest of the day, making it easier to focus and work effectively.”
A massive thank you to Lara Menon for taking the time to share how she feels about the early morning classes. See you bright and early!
If you fancy giving it a go as well, then book in for an early class, 6:30-7:30am Tues, Weds & Thurs morning
